A serene landscape with mountains, a lake, and trees under a clear blue sky.

About

My focus is the collection, cultivation, and conservation of Copiapoa, an ecologically unique cactus genus native to Chile's Atacama Desert. I specialize in collector-grade plants and seed, with an emphasis on exceptional specimens valued for their rarity, provenance, and long-term botanical significance.

Philosophy

My cultivation approach is rooted in science, careful observation, and a deep respect for the plants' natural environment. I strive to replicate the distinctive conditions of the Atacama Desert while adapting to the realities of Southern California. By integrating current research, modern horticultural methods, and the accumulated knowledge of experienced growers, my goal is to cultivate Copiapoa as faithfully as possible to their habitat form.

Mission

My goal is to build and maintain a world-class living collection of Copiapoa while helping preserve locality and provenance information that might otherwise be lost over time.

To support the community at all levels, I offer seeds and seedlings for those new to the genus, as well as provenance-documented plants with verified locality data for serious collectors.

Copiapoa.com serves as an evolving educational resource dedicated exclusively to the genus. The site reflects over two years of dedicated research and continues to be updated as new information, field observations, and cultivation experience become available.insights, and developments within our collection.

Licensing

Copiapoa.com is a licensed California nursery (CDFA License B4386.001), registered in Los Angeles County. All plants and seed are sold in compliance with state agricultural regulations.

Inquiries

I welcome inquiries from growers at all levels, from beginners to seasoned collectors, including those seeking specific species, populations, or lineages.

I also welcome contact from researchers and botanists working on Copiapoa taxonomy or related fields, as well as individuals interested in discussing the sale or stewardship of legacy collections.

For sales or technical inquiries regarding research or specific cultivation methods, please reach out via our contact form.
